The Charlotte County Dixie Boys 13U baseball team that represented Virginia at the 2019 Dixie Boys 13U World Series in Aiken, South Carolina, was recently presented with the sportsmanship award for that tournament. The Charlotte players, coaches and fans exhibited character during the team’s three-game run in the World Series. The team went 1-2, defeating the South Carolina team and falling to the Louisiana squad and the North Carolina squad. The presentation of the sportsmanship award took place Sunday at Randolph-Henry High School in Charlotte Court House.
