This week the National FFA Organization celebrates National FFA Week. The last two years have been filled with missed opportunities and experiences because of COVID 19, but the Randolph-Henry FFA has tried to remain active and has had many successes including participating in leadership activities, state wins at competitions, State FFA Degree and American FFA Degree recipients. The program is important to students because it sparks an interest in the many different careers in agriculture. Randolph-Henry students go on to be professionals in the agriculture industry after high school, trade school and college. According to the Virginia Department of Agriculture (https://www.vdacs.virginia.gov) Agriculture is Virginia’s largest private industry by far, with nothing else coming a close second. The industry has an economic impact of $70 billion annually and provides more than 334,000 jobs in the Commonwealth.
