With the first day of school just around the corner, new students took a minute this month to get used to Randolph-Henry High. On Tuesday, July 18, the school hosted orientation for all incoming freshmen, newly enrolled students, and their parents. The program began in the auditorium with a presentation of rules, school expectations, and policies.
Laurie Michaelson with Southside Virginia Community College was on site to share information about the school’s Dual Enrollment partnership. In addition, Stephanie Robinson shared brochures and information on the Career Tech Academy in South Boston. Wesley Swain was also present to go over the criteria for applying to the Governor’s School. Following the presentation, students and parents were taken on a campus tour.
“We appreciate all of the students and families for coming out to visit our campus this summer,” said Randolph-Henry High Principal Erin Davis. “We also thank our partners with SVCC, CTA, and GSSV for being a part of this event. We are looking forward to a wonderful school year!”
