Del. James E. Edmunds II has been named the chairman of the Virginia House of Delegates Sportsman’s Caucus.
“This caucus is a group of Virginia delegates and senators who are active hunters and environmentalists, who promote best management of Virginia’s abundant natural resources through hunter education and wildlife management,” a press release on his appointment noted.
“I have been a member of the House Sportsman’s Caucus since I became delegate in 2009,” Edmunds said, “and have thoroughly enjoyed the programs organized by fellow Del. Scott Lingamfelter.”
Edmunds was elected in 2009 to represent the 61st House District, which includes Charlotte, Halifax, Prince Edward and a portion of Campbell.
“The House Sportsman’s Caucus is affiliated with the National Assembly of Sportsmen’s Caucuses (NASC), launched in 2004, and consists of a network of state legislative sportsmen’s caucuses,” the release stated.
“There are currently 48 state legislative sportsmen’s caucuses, with over 2,000 state legislators, who are united under the NASC.”
